There is a small mountain dairy on Lešanska mountain pasture. Caring for the livestock is the main purpose of those working there, but time permitting they are also happy to serve hikers and other visitors.

They offer simple homemade dairy-based dishes: fresh and sour milk, cottage cheese, milk porridge, mush, occasionally homemade bread and desserts. They try to minimize waste, so several types of drinks are offered in returnable packaging (mountain tea, homemade brandy), and maintain an authentic Tržič way of speaking.

Capacity

  • indoors: 15 persons
  • outdoors: 40 persons

From the pasture you can continue your way to Veliki Vrh (1634 m) or Šentanski Vrh (1635 m) on Dobrča, about half an hour distant, which offer spectacular views of the Julian Alps with Lake Bled, the Karawanks and the Kamnik-Savinja Alps. Or you can opt for a longer route to Prevala mountain pasture, Roblek and Begunjščica. The pasture is also accessible by mountain bike and on horseback.

It is open during the grazing season.
